On the Road Again

We are getting ready for another month of travel... especially the kids.  Lori is actually home the whole month and I don't go until the last week.  However,  next week Meg, Anna, and Charles will be heading to Haines, AK for their final debate meet before State.  Right after that Anna goes to Anchorage to participate in Mock Trial (which Charles did last year).  Then a 2 week break and the three of them go to Anchorage for the State Drama/Debate meet.  They will each have 3 events to do there.
Then in March we start off by me going to Anchorage for continuing education.  Followed right away by a spring break trip to southern California to help my mom have her house prepared to sell it and take Anna to Disneyland and the beach.  Just getting some sunshine and clear skies will be worth the trip.
In April there will be no traveling for the kids, but I do a work trip and Lori goes to Utah for Weber State meetings/graduation.. as well as see our great little granddaughter(and Anneka/Mike).
May will find us going back east for a family trip to celebrate Charles' 16th birthday.  Then Meg, Anna, and Charles going to Utah to see friends for 3+ weeks.
While they are in Utah, Lori and I will go to Hawai'i so I can attend another continuing education conference.
I may have missed something, but I'm tried just remembering all of this...

Friends and Co-Workers

During my trip to see my wonderful granddaughter, I had a chance to visit one of the Sam's Clubs where I had worked occasionally. My former manager in Logan is now working with Cheryl... the manager in this particular office. Therefore, I got to see them both. It was really fun. Jessica and I worked together for 3 years and Cheryl and I always had a blast talking about Harry Potter. They were the reasons I was able to say sane and last as long as I did at Sam's!!

A "Small" Update

I hope you aren't tired of my fasination with my granddaughter. Anneka sends us lots of pictures and she puts them on her blog, but I usually use different ones. Samantha has had her first cold and Anneka has had to do the bulb syringe thing on her. Here is Samantha doing her Rodin imitation and just looking cute.

Glorious Granddaughter

Samanatha Moya is now 2 months old and I finally got to see her and hold her. We again did a combination trip. Lori had some meetings in Ogden for Weber State, Anneka and Mike blessed Samantha at Church, and I got to go down just to play Grandpa. I also got to see some friends in Logan as well as friend's that I had worked with at Sam's Club. I also did alot of driving. We flew into Idaho Falls, got a car, drove to Ogden for the night, dropped Lori off at Weber State, drove d0wn to see Jessica and Cheryl at the Sam's in Layton, went up to Logan and saw Steve Moon and our old neighbors, the Wrights, went back down to pick Lori up in Ogden, and finally drove up to Idaho Falls where Mike and Anneka and Samantha live. I sure was neat to hold this little 2 month old who has been very good and very cute. I held her whenever I could. We had a house full with Mike's family being there...some staying elsewhere though... so I did have to share. On Sunday...when we blessed her at Church... my brother John with his family drove up with my mom who was there to spend time with AJ/Mike/Sam. I also got to go with Anneka to Samantha's doctor appointment before I left. She weighed 6lb. 9 oz. when she was born and now is 10lb. 12oz. Obviously she is eating well and Anneka is providing well. A quick but great weekend.
We were also able to get a 4 generation picture. I have now been the youngest, the dad, now the grandpa in these 4 generation shots. Only one more step to go!!
